My name is Steve Borts. I was born and raised in Jamestown, MO. We lived on a farm until 1992. We moved to town, but I never lost my love for the country life. I was involved in FFA and Sports in High School. I attended the University of Missouri in Columbia from 1994-1998. I earned a Major in Ag Systems Management, with a Minor in Ag Economics. In the fall of 1998 I married my wife Courtney, who works at Crown Power & Equipment - Columbia. We bought a house in Jamestown and have two boys - Keegan is 5, and Kendall is 2.
My wife is always on my case for not being around the house. Well, maybe it has to do with being the Assistant Fire Chief for the Jamestown Rural Fire Protection District, or being a City Councilman for the City of Jamestown, or being involved with the Missouri River Valley Steam Engine Association, or building our new house last year.
Anyway, I enjoy being busy and can always find a project to take on.

I restored my first tractor in 1996. It was a 1944 Farmall H that came from a local farm in Jamestown. I ventured to the NATPA pull in Ankeny IA in 1997, the Ageless Iron Expo, and of course - became Hooked!! Most of you know me from pulling my H, and last year I pulled a 720 John Deere LP, owned by JP Dunn. I've also done some of the announcing for our pulls. I'm looking forward to another great year in 2007.
