Steve's Table Pull Results

October Archives

10/28: Well folks - its been a while.  Everyone has had time to settle down and enjoy some time off from tractor pulling.  I hope everyone is doing well!  I'm sorry I haven't done more with the Driver Profile's yet, but we found out a couple of weeks ago that my Dad has cancer on one of his kidneys.  They are supposed to take that out today at noon, and he should be on the road to recovery.  He is very lucky.  They did all sorts of test, and that is the only place they found anything.  The doctors told him they could take out the one kidney, and he could go on living a normal life.  This also means no Chemo or Radiation treatments.  He will have about a 4week recovery time - so that means yours truly will be seeing allot of windshield time in the propane truck.

We have our first off season meeting coming up on November 3rd at the Moncktons in Fayette.  I hope everyone can attend.  It's hard to believe we are looking forward to the 2008 season already.  Moncktons will be providing the meat, please bring a covered dish/side and your drinks.  Details for the meeting are on the website main page under the "Off Season Meetings" heading.

Rod and I went down and began the editing process on the video from the Showdown Pull.  I can tell you this - it is going to be nice.  We are going into great detail when editing this video.  To give you an idea - we spent 3 hours down there the other night, and only made it through the first 20 tractors!!!  We only have 333 more to go!!! HAHA!!!  Herb has some fancy equipment that lets us display your name, hometown, distance, and type of tractor across the screen as you are pulling.  Thanks again to everyone who helped and made that pull a huge success!!!

For those of you who are planning on putting on a pull next year - be getting your dates secured as soon as possible.  The earlier we get the schedule ready - the better off we will be.  Plus, I'm sure Ben would like to know the couple of weekends he will have off next summer!!HAHA.

I'm sure we'll get the lowdown at the meeting and some stories to go along about some of our members and their trip to Michigan at the NATPA pull in Corunna.  Just imagine - 5 guys in a truck - on the road for 14hours!!  How much trouble could they get into???? HAHA!!!!

Robin has posted it on the front page, but I hope those of you who won a class or got 2nd place have notified Billy with your jacket and shirt sizes.  He needs these as soon as possible in order to get stuff ordered.

The banquet has been set for Jan 19th in Ashland at the American Legion on Broadway. More details later.

See ya at the meeting!!!
